01 / CUSTOMER PROBLEM
Protect the size chain
For prepreg, composite and thermoforming work, a stable board can reduce rework caused by thermal movement, soft edges or a surface that cannot be sealed consistently.
TOOLING MATERIALSBoards / Epoxy tooling boards
Epoxy tooling boards for higher dimensional stability and thermal requirements. Use the grade row for a quick comparison, then open the TDS for cure, machining and service limits.
Engineering view / Epoxy tooling boards
When a model becomes a working composite tool, thermal movement and surface durability matter as much as machinability. Epoxy tooling boards are selected for fine surfaces, low expansion and stable post-machining geometry in more demanding tooling routes.
01 / CUSTOMER PROBLEM
For prepreg, composite and thermoforming work, a stable board can reduce rework caused by thermal movement, soft edges or a surface that cannot be sealed consistently.
02 / SELECTION LOGIC
Move from PU to epoxy when the cure or service cycle, surface requirement, tool life or dimensional tolerance makes thermal stability the controlling risk. Match the grade to the actual cure and post-cure route.
03 / PROCESS CHECKPOINTS
Use the correct cutting strategy, leave a controlled finish allowance and seal the machined surface before the release system. Check vacuum integrity, edge repair and the bond between surface and backing structure.
04 / RELEASE CHECK
EPBOARD 0700 and 0700HT have separate technical routes. Confirm temperature, CTE, hardness, post-cure and cycle requirements from the linked TDS before release to production.
